A Poem for Caroline

I'm still half-dead from all the traveling yesterday, so my brain is not really up for creative thought. Instead, I thought I'd post a poem I wrote for my niece Caroline when I was on the plane headed to visit my sister and her family. Caroline and I have a special bond in that we're both middle children of three. We also have the same love language, physical contact. We gauge our respective "snuggle meters" and stock up on hugs whenever we see each other. I wrote my niece Abby a poem a while back, and now here's one for Caroline. I'm all about finding silly ways to say I love you!

Dear Caroline,
you're joy divine--
our games, our laughs, our hugs

Oh Caroline,
sweet niece of mine,
you've got a lovely mug

My Caroline,
for you I pine
whenever we're apart

For Caroline,
with you I find,
new pieces of my heart.

Love you cutie!!
